Monday, July 12 Episode: Top 10, Last Comic Standing Season 7

Mike DeStefano is a very aggressive comedian, and it works for him. Some of his black racial jokes were a little out of place without much context, unfortunately. Outside of that, he’s still very likable and knows what he’s doing on stage. He does shout a lot and may be accused of a little overselling, but hey . . . overselling certainly didn’t hurt Dane Cook much.

A simple pair of jeans and a shiny purple shirt . . . interesting choice. I like the colour combination, but the shiny shirt probably draws more attention than was intended.

Monday, July 19 Episode: Top 7, Last Comic Standing Season 7

soap, i’m hungry, couples counselling, anti-female, familiarity

A bit of a long thank you to start the set given the short time allowed. The middle part was a little anti-female which didn’t really connect with the audience. The final bit about the over familiarity in dating was really great, though, and it saved the set.

A much, much better outfit this week than last. The army-style jacket on top of a plain t-shirt really fits his body well and makes him look much more presentable. Yeah for NBC stylists.

Monday, July 26 Episode: Top 5, Last Comic Standing Season 7

As expected, Mike DeStefano’s mom is cute and hilarious. I’m really enjoying the opening videos this week.

I didn’t think much of the opening drugs and kids joke, but I am a bit of a prude. Mike did have a great second half of his set, particularly the joke about being talked out of love.

Nice casual fleece this week. Good choice, stylists. It might be leaning a little too much toward cabin-wear, but at least it’s nice cabin-wear (I could do without the double pockets, though).
