Celia Ammerman – Photoshoot Portfolio Review, America’s Next Top Model Cycle 12, ANTM 2009
May 6, 2009 by vongsundara
Poor Celia, she never had a real shot at winning given that she entered the competition at 25 years of age. She had a solid run, and I’m sure she can take away a lot of good experience, but her future is not in modeling. Even for her advanced age, she photographs old, and there’s nothing inspiring about her face. Hopefully she can find a nice job in the world of fashion.

Celia Ammerman, America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 ANTM 2009, Episode 12: Take Me To The Jungle
Celia did her best in this photo, and it came out all right. There’s something about Celia’s face that just does not photograph well at all. She gives strength in this photo, but there’s no real expression on her face except maybe a touch of cluelessness. The body positioning is great, though.

Celia Ammerman, America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 ANTM 2009, Episode 11: Let's Go See The City
What a beautifully lit and framed photo. Unfortunately for Celia, she does not come through well in it at all. It’s too bad because the backdrop of extras, trees and buildings is gorgeous. Celia’s pose is awkward, and there is no interaction with the scene at all.

Celia Ammerman, America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 ANTM 2009, Episode 9: The Amazing Model Race
Celia does nice job in this photo. I would have given her a higher mark except that there’s a little life missing from her expression. The red top that Celia is wearing is incredibly vivid and contrasts well with the rest of the photo. Celia does look a little too old in this photo, but it’s not her fault that the judges placed her in a competition that she’s too old to win.

Celia Ammerman, America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 ANTM 2009, Episode 8: The Amazing Model Race
Celia is squeezing every single ounce of potential that she has. Unfortunately for her, Celia is physically the weakest model in the bunch and doesn’t really have what it takes to make it in the real modeling world. She does a great job in posing, though. She has great tension in her arms and is giving a great expression. If only her skills could be transplanted to one of the models with more natural potential.

Celia Ammerman, America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 ANTM 2009, Episode 6: Here's Your Test
This week’s photoshoot has turned out some awesome photos, and Celia’s is definitely one of the best. Celia gives a lot of neck in this pose, and her expression is simple and subtle. She does a good job with connecting with the camera with her eyes.

Celia Ammerman, America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 ANTM 2009, Episode 5: Put Your Best Face Forward
Unfortunatley for Celia, she got placed in dark clothing while one of the background models went for gold with her pose. It took me a few seconds just to find Celia in the photo, which is never a good sign. Fortunately for Celia, she looks good once you do finally find her. I like her pose and her expression isn’t too shabby either.

Celia Ammerman, America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 ANTM 2009, Episode 4: New York's Finest
One of the best photos of the week, very editorial. The lighting is majestic and the bus fits in well. Celia’s look and the way her dress flows into Sandra’s is almost magical. The composition is fantastic even down to little details like the lit tree in the background.

Celia Ammerman, America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 ANTM 2009, Episode 3: Do You Light The Way I Look?
I really don’t like this pose. It looks like Celia is going to break into the robot dance at any moment. That said, Celia did a great job of lighting herself and her clothing. It’s too bad that the positioning of the surrounding models is so bizarre.
Review Score: ★★★☆☆

Celia Ammerman, America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 ANTM 2009, Episode 3: Model Makeovers
I’m not to sure about Celia’s makeover. It’s rather drastic, which I guess isn’t the worst thing for Celia. Something had to happen to turn her look around. I guess I’ll see in the next few episodes whether the extreme look was a good idea. This photo itself is kind of plain, and I don’t really get any emotion coming from Celia.
Review Score: ★★☆☆☆

Celia Ammerman, America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 ANTM 2009, Episode 2: Fun And Games
Well, well, well, Celia sure punched me in the mouth with this photo, one of the best of the week. Celia’s pose and facial expression are really great. She does a great job of using her entire body, from the tips of her fingers to the obttom of her feet.
Review Score: ★★★★☆

Celia Ammerman, America's Next Top Model Cycle 12 ANTM 2009, Episode 1: What Happens In Vegas
I don’t really get Celia’s look. Sure, she has great cheekbones, but she looks old (which she kind of is) and doesn’t stand out enough. I can’t see her getting too far in the competition, and even if she does, I don’t think she has a future in the industry.

I think she kind of looks like she's 40!
There is no such thing as age with this much talent! Celia was robbed for the spot on the final three, at least.
I think Celia deserved a better fate, than just being number four!
If a twenty five year old can't win Top Model then why in the he!! do you have them on the show….doesn't make sense….Melrose should have won her cycle…she was so much better than that crazy Caridee…Celia you are a winner in my book..
She was ugly
